Diana's Story
Thirty six years is a long time!! After migrating west and north over a period of years after high school, I ended up finding my home in Kodiak, Alaska. Since 1984, I have been an "Islander" here, along with my husband Mark and son Bob. We moved here from Fargo, North Dakota and have never looked back. Kodiak is a most beautiful and peaceful place! The ocean, mountains and diversified wildlife make this a unique place to live, and we are proud to call it home.
Turns out that I have a talent for accounting and this has served me well in my career. I have my own accounting and tax business, in addition to working full time for Horizon Lines (formerly Sea-Land) as an Assistant Manager. I am hoping to retire in about five more years.

ust enjoying the weather on our deck. The older we get, the more we appreciate simple things in life, and I try to spend more time counting my blessings - trying to slow down and "smell the roses", so to speak! Life is good - Enjoy it while you can!!
I last visited Big Rapids in 1997, after a 15-year absence. It was amazing how much had changed - and how much had not! My sister still lives there, and she visits Kodiak regularly. I guess it's my turn to visit her next year (2009) again!
Since signing up on Classmates, I have gotten letters from 2 former classmates - what a blast from the past! I have read the stories of a few old classmates and find them very interesting, so I thought I should include something about me, in case anybody else remembers me! I look forward to hearing from anyone who does. :-)
