Diane's Story
I left New Jersey in 1981, right after I graduated from Rutgers. I moved to West Virginia for a bit and then to Houston, Texas. While working as a Financial Analyst for Union Carbide Corporation, I met my husband Richard. He accepted a job in Dallas, and we moved here in 1984. He's a Florida Gator, so we spend many Saturdays watching the Gators play (and win National Championships!) with the Dallas alumni club. ity of Texas at Austin School of Law. Needless to say, we're extremely proud of him. After being a stay at home mom during the 90s, I completed my Teaching Certification and have been a high school English teacher at a large suburban high school for 12 years. We travel a lot but also like to entertain in our home. People tell me I haven't lost my New Jersey accent even though I've lived in Texas longer than I did in New Jersey. All in all, life is very good!
