Diane's Story
Life
I am loving life and enjoying each moment. I have learned through hardships in life to take each day one at a time. I have a son, Tim, whom I love with my whole heart. Sometimes I don't know where I would be without him. He gives me much joy, love and lots of laughter. Tim is married to a sweetheart of a lady, a woman I am proud to have as a daughter-in-law, Angie. I also have a step-grandson, Justin (10). In addition, I have an adopted daughter, my niece, Ashley, and one grandbaby on the way. Their first baby is due in March, and I will be "Aunt Nanny". Ashley and I do the girl things together, things I couldn't do with Tim (a heavy metal, Harley type of guy). Ashley and I enjoy shopping, dining out, etc. Her husband, Jamie, is serving our country in Iraq, and I get to spend more time with her!!! She teaches English and Language Arts at Chatham middle school.She graduated Pleasaint Plains and attended Culver Stockton, ILL College and graduated from UIS Springfield. I have a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier. She weighs only 3 lbs! She keeps me company, and I can't imagine not having her to play ball with, though sometimes I don't feel like it...LOL(because she wont bring it all the way back)
I belong to the First Christian Church, where I am an active member and enjoy the company and many new fellow Christian friends.
My sisters have become a huge part of my life again. I very much enjoy spending time with them and their dogs, whether it be lounging around our yards on hot days, dining out, or taking adventurous roadtrips across the country!
I love to visit my beautiful home in sunny Arizona. I look forward to the day that I am able to visit more, and possibly call it HOME instead of simply my vacation home. The warm weather and retired community make it a place I am proud to visit and miss very much while I am not there. I have made some wonderful life-long friends there as well. I don't so much visit for the gambling aspect, as risk is not something I have ever been much into; however, the fruit trees, fresh squeezed lemonade, sun-hats, shorts, crisp dessert breeze, etc. make it feel more like home to me every time I get a chance to escape there. Bullhead City is only an hours drive from Las Vegas, where I enjoy going very much. I love the long walks on the strip, light shows, water shows, and of course...shopping.
When I am home, I mostly enjoy being outdoors. I like to play with my dog, Mitzi, and walk her down the driveway to get the paper. I spend much time doing yard work. After 46 years of marriage, I am finding that the single life really isn't bad!!! I get more time for myself and things I enjoy doing. I had no idea that I had such interests, as I was never able to explore them before the seperation. Now I am finding new hobbies (such as the internet and Lifetime), creating new relationships, and rekindling friendships lost.

UPDATE 07-03-07:
My beloved companion, Mitzi, has left us. She died a birth defect on March 31st, and my life is changed forever. It is hard for me to believe that she is really gone. I miss her every second of everyday, but I look forward to holding her again in Heaven someday.
My son thought I needed another dog to make it easier on me, so I now have a 4 month old Yorkie named Molli. She is a puppy in every aspect of the word, and she keeps me on my toes day and night!
Ashley welcomed her baby boy, Rowan Lee (named after me!!!) on March 27th. I get to spend the summer with them, as they are home from Germany until August.
Where did the Mother Cabrini thing come in??????????? Its June 10/09 and I havent been on here for a long time so I got curious and checked it out and found the Mother Cabrini in my school info.... Anyway,, after waiting for 6 years believe it or not ,,I think the divorce will finally go thru Oct. with a 3 day trial.... Amazing isnt it.... I guess the mistress wants a Christmas wedding after waiting for over 4 years... poor thing... My molli is now 2 years old and so much company.... Dont know how I lived all these years without a pet.. Guess because I was never allowed to have one..Funny how u never know what happened to u until u look back over the years and see a rerun of your life.I know now, my Mitzi and my Molli have been the only trusting and loving thing Ive known.. Sad huh? After spending 45 plus 4 seperated years with someone.OH WELL,, THEY SAY EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON...AS FOR LOVING AND TRUSTING I HAVE TO ADD MY SON TIM AND WIFE AND MY NIECE ASHLEY TO THAT LIST... IM SURE U ALL REMEMBER KAREN AND JOYCE AND BRUCE.? WE HAVE ALL BECOME VERY CLOSE SINCE ALL THIS HAPPENED SO SOMETHING ELSE GREAT HAS COME OUT OF THIS/I DONT SEE BONNIE OR BRENT VERY OFTEN THOUGH.. BRUCE HAS BATTLED CANCER FOR THE PAST 2 AND A HALF YEARS, BUT WILL BE CANCER FREE AFTER ANOTHER 3 YEARS.. HOPEFULLY GOD WILL STAY IN HIS CORNER..UNTIL NEXT TIME... LUV,, DI JUST A NOTE TO LET ALL OF U KNOW,,. THE NAME OF BECKY DILL DOES NOT COME INTO PLAY IN OUR CIRCLE OF CLASSMATES.... APPARENTLY SHE GOT ON HERE PRETENDING WHATEVER, BECAUSE SHE IS ACTUALLY THE MISTRESS MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN LIVING WITH FOR FOUR YEARS.WHAT HER MOTIVE IS I DONT KNOW,, EXCEPT TO READ ABOUT ME AND MY FRIENDS..,,, UNTIL NEXT TIME....LUV DI
