Diane's Story

I have 4 children and 12 grandchildren.
I attended the one reunion that we had and enjoyed seeing old friends and acquaintances as well as some old teachers.
I have lived a number of places and am currently in Washington State. I left the Valley and the LA area in 1963 and have only returned for brief visits.
I eventually graduated from Cal State Hayward and then received an MBA from the University of Colorado in 1983 where I met my second husband, Carl Hoog.

My husband recently retired from Boeing.
I am an experienced genealogist and recently have been using those skills as a volunteer search angel for adoption reunions.
I helped plan the 50th reunion. It was a lot of fun.
I have since gone on to start another career as a genetic genealogist specializing in interpreting DNA results to help people find family, including people who are adopted or who are doing extensive genealogy. My website is dnaadoption dot com. I am a partner in a small group called dnagedcom. We produce documentation, methods and tools for working with DNA results. It is a very exciting area to be in.
