Diane's Story
Life
Life currently keeps me very busy chasing my four children and teaching full time at Heritage High School's Alternative Learning T-Wolf Academy. Prior to this year, I taught High School English. Now, I get to teach everything including pre-school to Rheanne and Jameson.
I volunteer one day a week in Taylor's first grade classroom and really enjoy working with such an enthusiastic group of learners.
My youngest, Fletcher is one of my greatest joys. He is very happy and easy going. Jameson and Rheanne keep me continually running with a variety of exciting escapades. Taylor is relatively serious, but really has a love for learning and astronomy.
My life revolves around my children and work. My husband, Eric, and I both teach at the same high school. Up until this year...Expand for more
, we enjoyed commuting with each other to and from work. However, this year, we decided to do something different to be able to spend more time with the kids. Eric teaches in the mornings, and I teach in the evenings. Our schedule is making for an interesting year. It helps us appreciate each other more and not take each other for granted when we have time together.
As far as education goes, I have my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from City University, and a Bachelor's of Arts Education in Secondary English. In December of 2006 I was awarded National Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult English and Language Arts.
I live on a 13 acre hobby farm North of Vancouver, Washington where we raise cows, rabbits, and chickens. We also have 2 dogs and a lot of fun.
