Dianne's Story
I attended Hoover Elementary school from K - 5th Grade. My family moved from Bartlesville to Cortez, Colorado in 1969. I graduated from Montezuma Cortez High School in 1976 then attended Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. I graduated with a BS degree in Elementary Education in 1979. I married Rick Martinez in 1977. We moved to Chelsea, Oklahoma and started or teaching careers. our second child, Eric Martinez. In 1995 I graduated from the University of Tulsa with a MS degree in Mathematics and Science Education. In 1998, through a twist of fate, I became the principal at Hoover Elementary School. I continued being the principal for 9 years. In 2007 I took the job as the Executive Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction for Bartlesville Public School. My husband and I enjoy riding our Harley - and after 31 years of marriage are looking forward to the rest of our lives!
