Don's Story
Life
To friends who may be interested: We've lived on the west coast since 1979, and for the last eighteen years, I've taught English in Vancouver. My daughters, Keely and Nadia, are now 30 and 27, and very fond of the outdoors. in touch with Mike Town, Jim Hodgins, Dick Zander (now dec'd), but not many others. We're listed in the public directories. Love to hear how things have gone for you, and what you're up to now!
Since writing this first version, I've retired after 23 years of teaching, and moved to the Sunshine Coast at Davis Bay, where Jane and I have a lovely house that overlooks the Georgia Strait, and where our oldest daughter lives not more than seven minutes away from us with her husband and their three children. In the years immediately after retiring, I studied French, Italian, German and Spanish at SFU until they cancelled their seniors' fee waiver, and then went to UBC where I continued in those languages, added Portuguese, started Russian, and decided enough was enough for now. We have guest beds. Come and visit!
