, when I left for my next assignment at the Pacific Command Joint Blood Program Office in Okinawa, Japan. I was there until June of 1988 when I departed for Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL. I spent 5 years in the laboratory there and then decided to try something different, attending the Navy's Medical Department Administrative Technician school in San Diego, CA. After graduation (3rd out of 24) I then went to the USS Abraham Lincoln, homeported in Alameda, CA. While on the Lincoln I made two Western Pacific deployments, visiting Jebel Ali, UAE, Fremantle and Perth, Western Australia, Pearl Harbor, HI, Hong Kong, and Singapore. My next (and last) assignment was to the Office of the Lead Agent, Defense Health Service Region 10 at Travis AFB, CA. I arrived there in March of 1996 and retired from there in October of 1998.
