Don's Story
I became 1/2 of the "First Family" of Gay Lib (with Leo Laurence, who founded the movement in San Francisco, before the Stonewall riots) in 1969
I quickly became widely known as "Don Burton, Gay Folksinger. I was the first one to write and sing "Gay Protest" songs.

Your harsh (even violent) mistreatment of me actually inspired me to become that Militant Gay Rights activist. And look how far we've gotten in our struggle for equal rights!
