Donna's Story

Hi friends, Hope to see everyone at the BIG Carmel Reunion!!!! I am now a permenant resident of Naples, Florida. My husband, Eddie and I moved down fulltime, in October 07. We had lived on Long Island since we were married, 40 years ago!!...how can that be???? Our three children are terrific and successful adults who we respect and adore. Melissa graduated from Fairfield University and lives in Manhatten. She is an executive in the publishing industry. If you read "Skiing" magazine you will find her name! Eric graduated from Scranton University and is a member of the Philadelphia Police Department, as an Investigator and Expert Witness in the Firearms Investigation Unit. He spent many years on the"streets" and received medals for bravery, heroism and valor. It was a mother's worst nightmare and yet I was full of pride and admiration for his work!!!! ee at Long Island U./CW Post College. She is a cuter and smarter version of her mother and a licensed Social Worker on Long Island. After I graduated from ACC and FIT, I got married and chose to be a stay at home mom. When the kids got older, I went back to work and continued my education in Special ED, and worked in a Resource Room for the Roslyn School District, until I retired this past October. I am now substituting here in Naples. I lost my mom last year and despite of her age, it was a very difficult time for me. If you remeber my mom, you know what I mean!!! I still come to Auburn as often as I can to see my sister, Gloria. She lives there with her husband in a lovely home on the Lake. I have loved Long Island and I think living here in "paradise" (Naples) is fabulous...BUT my roots and soul still bring me back to Auburn and of all my Wonderful and Happy Memories!
