Donna's Story
I'm retired now after 37 years in medical research starting at Children's Hospital Research Institute in Cincinnati and ending at UCLA Medical Center. I met my late husband in Clifton area of Cincinnati and we drove from Lexington, KY to San Diego,CA,in a rental truck with our Buick in tow. We lived in Ocean Beach, San Diego then San Francisco, CA where the earthquake of 1989 drove us to move to Davis, CA, then Los Angeles where my husband had a massage therapy business in Santa Monica. Then we retired to Escondido, CA, where I live now with my two cats Coco and Ali.

love to garden and have over 100 potted plants around our mobile home as well as some trees and shrubs. I also like the hummingbirds that come to the two feeders when its not too hot, otherwise I think they fly over to the coast to stay cool. Summer here reaches 95-100 at lot, but I like the sunny days. We don't get any rain during the summer so watering the plants keeps me busy. I have great neighbors, mostly Hispanics,and they help me when I need some work done on this 50 year old home. I miss my husband (I set up a memorial website in his honor) but life is good.
