I finally settled down after years of moving around! There were 4 years at Stanford University where I received a Bachelor's degree, double majoring in Biology and Chemistry, followed by 1 year of research in the Department of Pharmacology at Stanford Medical School. Moved back to Columbus to attend medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and spent 4 years there. After a medical residency at Loma Linda University, I did a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at the University of California - Irvine. (That's 3 years in Loma Linda, CA, and 3 years in Orange county...in case you're counting) After completing my training in California, I moved to Portland, Oregon, where I worked for 3 medical groups in 5 years (2 of the groups went bankrupt). I loved Oregon, but with much of my family in northern California, I moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 2001. Within a week of my moving to CA, my cousin set me up on a blind date with an old friend of his. We were a perfect match for each other, and married one year late...Expand for more
