Life
Hello. I am the Director of the Eychaner Foundation and manage the Matthew Shepard Scholarship program. Retired as Executive Director of One Iowa and Grassroots Leadership. I was the Chief of Staff at The Interfaith Alliance. I was the gay and lesbian liaison to presidential candidate, Howard Dean. I was Co/chair of 2008 LGBT council for Obama for President.' and was honored to be one of two Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. I was the Director of Policy & Special Initiatives at the Gill Foundation, a national funder, in Denver, Colorado. My work has been primarily within the civil rights/social justice communities. My partner, Sumitra, and I have been together for 25 years. We live in the mountains of Colorado with the elk and the mountain lions and our wire-haired dachshund, Doc Watson and our Golden Aussie, Cinnamon Bear. It is a million miles from Worcester. My son, Julian Dylan Russell, is a photographer in the New England area. Life is good. It is really good.
