Doreen's Story
Doreen M. Dostie (Dupuis) Passed away from Lung Cancer on September 5th 2008. She joined this site a while ago, but many of you have been enquiring about her, so I decided to update the page and let you all know about her very premature passing.
My Name is Angela and I am Doreen's Daughter. My Mother was an incredible woman, which I'm sure some of you already know that about her!
She Married Thomas Dostie May of 1982 and remained married to him until her death this year. I was born January of 1985 in Petersburge VA. Not long after my birth, my parents and I moved to Germany, due to my fathers military orders. My Mother started working for the government as a secritary at that time.
In 1989, we breafly moved back to New Hampshire, then found ourselves in a small town in Arizona. We lived there for 4 years, and at that time my Mother was moving up in her career in the governement. After Arizona, we where sent back to Virginia. mily, about seven years. My Mother Doreen, became head of Visual information managment at Ft Belvior within four of those years, which was impressive!
In 1999 we moved back to Arizona, and that is where my parents remained until her passing this year. She was a GS 13 in the government on FT Huachuca winning many awards for her outstanding dedication to her work. She enjoyed playing the piano, researching Geneology, video games, making people laugh and so much more. She had three dogs named Mysty, Alexis and Xena who she loved very much. My Mother was also an amazing grandmother to my daughter Leah Marie Edwards.
She really was a wonderful person, very warm and loving. Perfect friend, Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, and Grandmother. She will be missed terribly but she is in heaven with our holy father, in peace. I may be biest, but I think she will be one of the most beautiful Angels that God Could ever aquire.
Loving message from Doreen's Daughter,
Angela Derrig (Dostie)
