Doreen's Story
Life
Hi all. As you know I graduated from CHS 1988 and got married that December to Wayne Brook of Asotin. We moved to Cheyenne Wyoming because he was in the USAF in 1989 where I had my first child, Michael. We were there a few years and had my second child, Marie in 1992. We divorced in 1993 and I moved back home. Here I proceeded to have my third child Miranda (she's a long story) and I met Todd McKenna of Lewiston who was recently out of the Marines. I guess I like those military guys. He worked at the Alibi when I met him and we were pretty much together ever since. We marrried in 1998 and had my 4th child named Harley. ( We love riding Harley Davidsons so that is how he got his name). Some where in there I managed to go to Walla Walla Community College and get some education but work and kids were always my top priority. I've attended college a lot. I just love learning. Wish I would've had that love at CHS. My oldest child graduated this year (2008) am I really that old. I have a sophmore and an 8th grade daughter and my youngest is 10. They grow up so fast. My hubby and I enjoy going on Harley rides when the weather is good and I enjoy excersize, shopping, music and the beach. I love connecting with my old friends from school and have realized that those friends are the best you ever have in life. I have a lot of good friends now but they are nothing like the ones I grew up with.
School

ny where else we had it all. I can't say I was ever much into studying. School for me was more a social function. I did love Mr Marks' class (he was the best). You gotta love the teachers that can be with all those teens and still smile all the way through it.
I had a ton of awesome friends. Molly, Brenda , Karen, Dani, Erin (all of which I still keep in touch with.). Not to mention Brad, Rod, Brian, Virgil, Brent, and Eric. We really had a great group of people in our class. Just too many wonderful people to name.
Workplace
I have done it all. From flipping burgers to changing diapers in a nursing home, and from retail to a wreaking yard to end up working as an Executive Assistant. I am pretty much trained to do anything now. Each position has taught me something though, and I loved almost all my jobs and those I worked with.
I've dealt with community events both coordinating and working at them. I coordinated the 2007 Nez Perce Round up Parade. That was a blast. I've also worked on many events through the Lewiston chamber. There is just so much I have done. I never want to miss an opportunity.
Military
I wasn't actually in the military but I did talk my first husband into going into the USAF. We were stationed in Cheyenne Wyoming. You know how here in the valley we have all the "wanna be" cowboys??? Well, in Cheyenne you do get the real thing and you have got to love the tight fitting wrangler jeans. That was the extent of our tour there. It was a great place to be for a while but this will always be home.
