Life
Hi - just interested in connecting w/past friends. I am still in VA and have been happily with the same company 29 years.
I am happy with who I am, where I have been, and where I am headed.
I have a strong faith in God, and understanding that whatever life dishes out, I can handle. I joined the ranks of becoming a single mom following a 24 yr marriage in '02. A new experience, but an experience I believe I can handle.
Currently in a committed relationship.
My daughter turned 19 in Mar and my son turned 27 in Feb. Daughter is active in various projects. My son is in the Navy stationed at Mayport Naval Station, Jacksonville, FL. He has been in the Navy for nine years.
Pets include 5-cats, 1-dog, and a snake. (Two of the cats, the dog, and snake belong to my daughter). One cat belongs to my son and I am currently taken care of her while he is out to sea. The other cat belongs to my boyfriends son and I keep it at my home.

chet, crafts, needlepoint, cross-stitch, sewing, cooking, collecting cookbooks, camping, fishing, NASCAR, reading, action/drama/spy movies.
Past activities included:
Girl scout leader - Roanoke-1 year, Blacksburg-2 years, Pulaski-9 years, Christiansburg-4 years
Cub Scout Leader-Pulaski-6 years
T-Ball Coach-Pulaski-2 years
Pulaski Jaycees-8 years
St Edwards Catholic Church-lector, council member, education director, faith leader, various times during a 22 year period
Pulaski Am Red Cross Adult, Infant, Child CPR & First Aid Instructor and Instructor Trainer - over an 18 year period
Current activities - working full time as well as part time work, attending services at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Christiansburg, since Jan, 2004.
Currently undergoing treatments for agressive IDC (treatments started in May 2009 & will last for one year).
Awaiting surgery dates for optical nerve tumors, out-patient heart surgery, and thryoid surgery for follicular thryoid cancer.
