I'm going to take the easy way out and use/adapt my bio... After graduation, I went to Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing in Norristown, PA. In 1970, I was accepted into the Navy Nurse Corps Candidate Program, and following graduation was commissioned an Ensign on 03 September 1971. My first assignment was at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Next assignments were Naval Hospital, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Naval Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. While at Philadelphia, I was selected for full time duty under instruction. Following a one-year tour of duty at Naval Hospital, Keflavik, Iceland, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, in 1980. Following graduation, I was assigned to the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD.
