Dory's Story
Life
Class of 78' Hillsborough High. Grad. with a BA degree from USF. I worked for IBM/AT&T approx. 10 years-Network Engineer. Changed careers, became a Mortgage Underwriter for awhile but now I'm back as a Network Engineer/Service Executive. Love pets but have none. One year together with ex hubby then married almost 4 years. Hobbies include flying, riding my Harley, flag football, softball league, raquetball, volleyball, horseback riding, dancing, and previous-local modeling. I've always been a Dolphin fan as well as a Tampa Bay Storm fan...and Elvis is my other man (I'm not kidding). My other half also went to Hillsborough High c/o 78' too, Alan Antinori. We have been together since year 2000. I've known Alan since 74'-75' (My 10th grade year at Hillsborough High). We enjoy our 2nd home (condo) right on the beach in Treasure Island! We own a hangar (airplane/helicopter) at Tpa North Airport. We enjoy flying to other cities/Islands for that "100 Hamburger" & riding the Harleys with a great group of friends to events/concerts etc. Alan and I are constantly on the go and always together (exclude work, lol). We are fortunate not to have past baggage and are FINALLY happy that we found one another. Kids are great but I have no regrets not having any. Life has been great for me! Hope you enjoy my pics (Click on pic to enlarge). Check out more pics on my FB page.
High School
My memories go back to meeting at Shakey's Pizza after a football game with the Hillsborough class. That was fun and crazy! The classes I enjoyed attending were in Mrs. Pullar...Expand for more
a's art class. She was a pretty awesome art instructor as well as an individual that cared about her students outside of school activities. I loved going to class b/c Manual Gonzalez was there too and made it so much fun! I truly miss him. She would put on some nice music while we were in class. Another favorite was in Mr. Fernandez's "DCT" class. I left school really early to start my job, YES! I loved that. I wasn't that much into high school until I attended the University of South Florida (USF). I became much more serious and discipline about my studies. I grew up in the TnC area from 1st grade until reaching high school. I was at Leto High for a month-Sophmore year before we moved. I then transferred to Hillsborough High. The "then" pic above is my 1st year (sophmore year) at Hillsborough High. I still keep in touch with alot of high school friends, it feels like distance was not ever there when we get together. Unfortunately I have no memories from Leto since I was there such a short time but I do have great memories throughout my elementary and Jr. high years. Actually I skipped a grade (went from 7th grade to 9th)so maybe the 79' Leto grad' would remember me since I attended elem./jr classes with them though I have not seen any familiar names on classmates...
I will attend the Friday night event for the Leto Class Reunion. Gloria Sadler and I will meet up with Kathy Klopf.....I can't wait.....
Alan & I will attend the Saturday night reunion event for HHS. I'm hoping to see classmates I haven't seen in decades...
