Douglas's Story
Lets see, I graduated High school, went to UMSL for a couple of classes. Then I attended Forest Park Community College for Automotive Technology. I joined the USAF in 1987 and things have been amazing!. My first assignment was to Eielson AFB in Alaska. Simply stunning summers and brisk winters. were merged with a unit from California. Of course this brought some growing pains. But in the end it was a good thing. I spent quite some time doing missions in the former Soviet Union. Saw amazing sights and met some very warm people. My next assignment was to Germany to work for NATO. 5 amazing years. Made some great friends and had a simply awesome time. After Germany I was assigned to a tanker base in Kansas. I knew my circle was complete as I had worked many of these aircraft when they were A-models. I decided it was time to retire and return to St Louis Mo.
