Ed's Story

Life After I left High School I pursued my love of playing baseball. I ended my Journey as a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and moved back to Independence to find a job and get married. Couldn't do either in Little Rock, you fill in the jokes here. I met my wife, Courtney Butler, at a party during a trip home from Little Rock. We were introduced by Craig Dennis & Shana Woody. At the time I wrote this I still haven't been handed papers and asked to leave. I have a son and a daughter. Nathan was born in '92. He plays basketball and baseball. Heather was born in '98 and loves dance and gymnastics. They are your typical siblings. I have learned to tune them out just like I do my wife. My family looks after 4 pets, a dog and 3 herm...Expand for more
it crabs. We gave the dog a name, the crabs however remain nameless and mostly ignored. Last I checked they were still alive. I work in Kansas City as an Electrical Engineer for General Electric. Most of my day is spent designing giant air filters for power plants and concrete manufacturers. I started here in 2007. Spent 13 years before that as a Mechanical Design Engineer for an automotive conveyor company. Haven't decided if I like engineering yet or not. It's probably too late to change directions. I am also heavily involved in Little League Baseball here in Independence. I manage a team that my son is a part of and I am also a board member of Queen City Athletic Association. If you need to find me in the summer I am probably at Mill Creek Park.
