Allan's Story
I've taken quite a circuitous path. Graduated Downey High, then traveled bit, but was soon drafted into the Army. Once out, I moved north to attend Stanford University. During that time, I played in a rock band and became a remodeling contractor to help finance school. On graduation I had to make a choice: stay a contractor, or go to grad school in Iowa.. h led to more interest in computers, and eventually running a software company for 20 years. 9/11 drastically changed the business climate, which meant another choice. Although I had no involvement in music at Downey High, I went back to grad school in my 50's to became an orchestra conductor/composer/arranger, So I had a number of vocations, yet while technically retired, I'd probably jump into something new if the right thing came along. I like keeping busy and creating things.
