Edna Betts:  

Life I have been married to James B. Betts for over 40 years... we started dating 45 years ago, when I was in grade 12! We have 2 sons, Brent and Brice, who are now 37 and 39 years old, respectively. Brent is an RCMP Officer in Nova Scotia and Brice is a high school teacher in Hillsborough, NB. We have 2 grandsons... Matthew (11) and Christopher (9)... Brent's wife is the former M. Suzanne Dionne from Riverview. She is an Operating Room Nurse. We have 1 granddaughter... Alexis Jayda (6 months old)... Brice'S wife is the former Tammy Berteit from Moncton. She is a physiotherapist at the Moncton City Hospital. After 30 years service, Jimmy retired from NavCanada in September 2007 and we immediately returned to Moncton. His final eight years with NavCanada had taken us to Ottawa. I worked for 33 years in different areas of the Department of Education, retiring in June 1998. My Mother passed away in 2001 and - at that time - brought my Dad from Moncton, NB, to live with us. Shortly after that, Dad had a severe stroke... and I managed to care for him for 2 years (until I "wore out")!! He then resided near us in the Veterans' Centre, until his death in 2006.
