Edward's Story

Life I am pretty much still a "country boy", I don't mind hard work, and love to laugh... I joined this site under what year I WOULD have graduated- as I moved, I didn't really graduate from Worland High (in Wyoming), or from Lynden High (in Washington). However, had I stayed, I would have, really! :c) I would like to say that I don't REALLY have the attitude that I am famous (in the profile questions), and that you should know who I am, but I thought that particular selection was kinda cute. Actually, I believe I'm headed in the right direction, though at times I'm not sure where I will end up. It is rather like in one of the books of the Anne of Green Gables Series- there are all kinds of bends in the road, and who knows what is around the bend? :c) I worked for Budget Rent-a-Car for 4.5 years, and it was pretty good. However I am now working for a vending maching company in Portland, Oregon. It's not too glamorous of course, and not what I hope to be doing in any great number of years, but it's a job! Not that I can really complain- at least I've got a job, and the boss is good to work for. I've been attending the same wonderful church for over 5 years now, and it's been a really awesome experience. After living on my own for some time, I moved in with some friends from church a couple summers ago, for a variety of reasons. The best of which is that we have a lot of fun tormenting, er um, fun TOGETHER, right..... *L* No, anyway, it's been really good for them and myself. A family from church that is quite patient to put up with me! We've really grown close, and we are like family now. Most likely by summer 2005 I'll have a house of my own. :c) If you remember me- email me!!! Or maybe even if you don't remember...Expand for more
me.... ;c) Eddy ~~~ College At Bellingham Technical College, I took my GED Exam, & passed on the first attempt, in 4 testing days, which took 2 weeks on their testing schedule. I scored quite well, and it was a really interesting experience. With my graduation from the International Air Academy, I got a job with Buget Group, Inc., now owned by Cendant, which seems like a great company, as well. They certainly are a corparate power in the travel industry, not to mention other companies they own. In any case, it's been a "good ride". I am not sure if it was worth the money, but I suppose it was, because it got me where I am today, which I am satisfied with. Someday I may attempt to enter the airline industry I was trained for, or maybe not. We'll see where life and God leads me! Workplace I work for Budget Group, yes- people know us by Budget Car (or truck)Rent a Car. While I do enjoy the work, I do not find it challenging enough to stay there for years more. I create challenges to keep me satisfied for now. I will find "the perfect job", at least for what I need, then. If my needs change, I'll find another. I do realize many don't believe in that "perfect job" anymore, but I refuse to give up my dreams, just because they aren't too likely to happen. If you don't dream it, it won't be as likely to happen, either! I shall be "cheesy" and declare: "Dare to dream!" *L* Anyway, I enjoy being one of the best at what I do- being efficient & improving the efficiency of the store, getting paperwork done RIGHT, and being able to help with requests from the "Main Office", ~because~ we all DID do our job right, regarding paperwork. :c) Mostly, I like making my customers happy, and having good interaction with my co-workers.
