Edward's Story
After All Saints, went to Holy Cross for 2 years. Then BCHS for last 2 years. Worked that last summer picking peaches and tending Mr. Deacon's horses before enlisting in the Navy. Went to Class A Communications school in Pensacola. Stationed in DC for a couple of months, then assigned to USS Georgetown. Next 2 1/2 years cruising the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Discharged in 1966 after 4 years. Worked as a store manager 7-11. Was a Xerographic technicianfor Xerox. Then as a Field Service Rep for Casper Instruments. Vehicle Commission. Prior to that, was in charge of inventory for Vehicle Inspection, then as the head of the Forms Control and Printing Unit for DMV. Helped with the digital license program for security devices used in printing. Helped to re-write driver tests, including a new Japanese test. Assisted in editing the driver manual and other publications. Married thirty plus years to second wife. One daughter who had 3 girls and one son, two grand-daughters. Second daughter has two children. Hobbies include painting. Ukulele and Banjolele and piano. Sang in public many times, did a couple of one man shows for assisted living residents. Read to other residents in PA. Now living in Florida.
