Edward's Story

Attended St. Mary’s in South River, then SRHS. Upon graduation went to work for Phelps Dodge with Rick Prusarczyk. Spent some 7 years with them and during that time was furthering my education. Education complete with LaSalle, then went to work for C F Braun Engineers. After about three years with them, they closed their doors and without missing a beat went to work for the Lummus Co., Wordwide Engineering. They too closed their doors after a couple of years, so I took a position with Jacobs Eng’rg.. Stayed with them for some 27 years. After the first 10 years with them I functioned in the position of Manager of their NJ offices, which at one point had over 300 engineering & support personnel. They eventually relocated to Conshohoken, Pa. After some two + years I had enough of travel on the Pa. pike and the Blue route and tendered my resignation. Immediately went to work for Gilbane, Construction Mgm’t. After some seven or so years with them, I called it quits and took an early retirement. Been on summer vacation ever since. Whoopee!! Bye Bye rat race......Now spend most of my time in Maine where I have 300 acres to romp in. I hunt, fish, frequently dine on lobster, ATV trail ride, snowmobile, play my Martin guitar, putter in my fully outfitted woodworki...Expand for more
ng shop making sawdust and such. My most memorable and enjoyable times have been spending many hours in the field with my most trusted, loyal and loving companion,Tallie my treasured German Shorthaired Pointer. I own three antique auto’s. A 1930 Ford Model A coupe, a 1940 Ford Fordor flathead V8 and a 1937 Packard touring sedan, all in near original condition. I also had but sold a 1930 Reo coupe but parts were very hard to come by. In addition I owned a beautiful 1946 deluxe Plymouth two door coupe which I auctioned off at the yearly Owls Head auction here in Maine. Hated to let it go but after purchasing the Packard I no longer had storage space for it. Summer of 2022 I located & purchased a pristine 2011 Mazda Miata with a mere 12,800 miles on it, the car was owned by an elderly lady from Pushaw lake Maine. It boasts a retractable metal roof and a striking Copper Red Mica paint scheme. Yay for me !🤗 I married. a Sayrevlle girl in 1963 and we have been married now for 60 years. Whew! I still maintain a home in NJ but prefer God’s country in Maine. I am a Vietnam veteran, served as an officer in the U S Army with the 9th Infantry Division operating in the Mekong Delta.. One of Ed’s favorite sayings is: “ I am what I am and that’s all that I am “
