Edward's Story
Enlisted in US Army on the delayed entry program on January 27, 1987. I reported to Basic Training in June 1987. I spent 3 years on Active Duty and 3 years in the N.C. Army National Guard. I deployed to Saudi Arabia in November 1990 in support of Operation Desert Shield and remained in the Persian Gulf region throughout Operation Desert Storm and Operation Provide Comfort. rom the Town of Hudson on disability after 13½ years. I am married to the former May Johnson and have two adult children. In May 2014 I became Ordained and am a Licensed Independent Christian Minister. I am registered with the National Association of Christian Ministers. I enjoy smoking pork barbeque, beef brisket, chicken and turkey. I haven't quite mastered smoked fish yet, but I'm still working on learning a cold smoke technique to bring that Smokey flavor to fish.
