I' was still working part-time as a cook in a small privately-run senior's lodge at Linden after retiring from teaching Junior High Home Economics. in Calgary when we decided to make a move to Peace River where my husband was going to run a safety training facility. and I "retired " after having worked at this lodge for 18 years. in October of 2020 we moved to a property close to the Peace River Golf Course where we now have a Grimshaw address.. I 2015 I published a book called The Princess Doll's Scrapbook: Her Families' Emigration and Immigration Stories. It was a family history inspired by an 1870 vintage porcelain doll then in 2017 i started to put together a book based on my grandfather's personal memoir telling his homesteading story but it was interrupted by a major health issue with a GiST tumour.
