I attended Mt. Carmel in 9th grade and started 10th grade there.. Sr. Florence determined that I was probably an occasion of sin, so my parents yanked me out and I went to Jefferson High School, near our house in Wheatridge. I was pretty miserable there. All those kids formed their cliques in junior high and didn't need any new friends. I found a few friends who were also strays from Catholic schools, and we made it through. I started college at Lindenwood in St. Charles, MO. I was really lost there. I met a boy about as screwed up as I was. I got pregnant, married and divorced by the time I was 22. I limped back to Denver and stayed there while I worked full time and went to school, Finally graduated from Colorado Women's College in 1974 with a history major. Moved to Texas and lived in different cities in Texas, and also St. Louis and Tulsa, and worked in Human Resources in the specialty of compensation, designing and administering pay plans.
