Elisa McClelland:  

It has been a long 30 years since I left high school, and a long 26 years since leaving UCSC. So a quick recap of my life is in order... I married my husband Rob right before our senior year at Santa Cruz, in 1982. In the fall of '83 we began our long, long journey at UCDavis. While Rob attended grad school, for the next 6 years I worked. It was an extremely difficult time in our lives! We had our son James in 1987 and in 1989 after receiving a PhD in Economics, Rob and I moved to the Washington, DC area. We've been here now for 20 years! In that time, we had another child, our daughter Erin. I no longer work outside of the home, and am a full time mother and volunteer. Over the years I've been a PTA officer and organizer, school volunteer, Cub and Boy Scout leader, and Girl Scouter. I've also been a Sunday School teacher at our church, Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church for 7 of the last 8 years. But my number one volunteer activity has been with Team in Training.
