Life
After HS, I went on to college and became a teacher. I have my master's in special education and worked for awhile at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla. When I left there, I became a 3rd grade teacher in the Bronx and then East Orange, NJ. I left teaching when I had my children (a son, Chris who is now 24 and in medical school and a daughter, Lauren who is 21 and a senior at CW Post on Long Island majoring in Art Therapy). f Pearl River. I love working with little children! Nine years ago I had cancer (Hodgkins Disease) and I am happy to say that I am doing well and I'm in remission. I'm married to a great guy named Ben (who I met when I was teaching in the Bronx). He retired as a manager from Prudential and now works for Met Life in Pearl River. We have lots of pets (of course I do for those of you who remember my love of cats and animals!!). My family teases me saying that when I get old, I'll be known as the old lady with all the cats. Time will tell...
