Elizabeth (Betty) Keirstead:  

After graduation in 1964, I went to NBTI (now NBCC) in Moncton... I took the Beauty Culture Course... met the LOVE OF MY LIFE, Eric Keirstead. graduated as a hairdresser and attained my MRS. These many years later (married in 1965) he is my soul mate and my very best friend. We have lived in 5 communities in NB and 1 in NS and 1 in PEI. Eric taught in the provincial school systems, and I opened beauty shops wherever we moved to... We have raised a great son, Reg (42 yrs) and super daughter, Lisa (43yrs)...and had legal custody of our grandson, Brad (24yrs) and raised him also. We have 4 step grandchildren, Keisha, Kayleigh, Karah & Matthew... I have dabbled in the arts since the late 70's and now that I am retired (due to health issues)... it has been a great source of entertainment for me....I am always trying a new venue in art, from oils, water color, pastels to glass art.... heavy into scrap booking and stamping.... and now into making cards, bookmarks & fridge magnets from my art work.... I have what some call an active & vivid imagination... I love being creative.... I have been actively involved with our DHS 1964 class reunions and yearly gatherings by doing all the letter writing for the group for all planned events . Since I can't be too active, it makes me feel like I am helping. I think we have had a super class (1964)... we have had a 20 & 40th year (weekend ) reunions, which were super hits... and since our 40th we now have an annual one day gathering.....it is amazing how many we have attend.... after all these years we still like getting together and catching up on each others lives.... there are a few that have been unable to attend for various reasons, but we keep hoping they will one year be there....sometimes life's road is a little bumpy and things don't work out the way we plan....BUT that being said....our hope is that one year s...Expand for more
