Elizabeth's Story
I was the youngest of seven children. I have one sister and a brother passed away. I have been living. on or close to the coast of south eastern North Carolina for almost 30 years. I have been through many storms here. Moved here due to husbands illness. The harsh winters were a challenge and at that time, I was his primary care attendant. Eventually we fell in love and married in 1992. I attended college and graduated in 1997 from UNCW with a teaching degree in special education. hter, Tania, now 41 and married, one granddaughter, Cynthia, 21 and a great grandson, James Taylor, I call him sweet baby James, of course. I retired at 62 but continued substituting. Now I am in a full time contracted teaching position again and I do love the kids I work with..
I have been living what was known as Huricane Alley for most of 30 years. I love the wonderous beauty of the coast but I have endured through many of the coastal storms. The future for me is working toward relocating back to CT prior to the 2019 Huricane season..
The only one around me all the time is Ringo, my little dog.
