Elizabeth's Story

Life Hello former Rams, Eagles, and Huskies! During my time at UConn I participated in many activities including Pi Beta Phi and the Writing Center. I presented a paper at the University of Kansas during the NCPTW National Writing Center Conference in 2002. I also presented a workshop on young adult literature at the Fall 2003 CCTE conference with my professor and colleagues. I completed my B.S. in English Education at the University of Connecticut in 2003. ation. Currently I keep busy as an 8th grade English teacher at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury, CT. I am also the newest, proudest member of the coaching staff for Varsity Girls Swimming at Glastonbury High School. At the moment I am preparing a presentation with a UConn professor and several colleagues on incorporating current events into the secondary classroom. In addition, I will be presenting my Masters Inquiry Project at the 2005 New England League of Middle Schools conference in Providence. In my very few minutes of spare time I enjoy shopping, reading, spending time with my friends and boyfriend, and cheering on the Red Sox in their quest to break the curse! :-)
