Elizabeth's Story
Life
I was born in northern Minnesota and moved with my family to California in 1949. We lived in the Los Angeles area until the summer of my junior year, when my family moved to Arcata. After graduating from Arcata Union High School in 1959 I joined the Women's Army Corps and trained in Anniston, Alabama. Then I was stationed at Edgewood Chemical Center, Maryland, where I met my husband, George Ketner. We married in 1962 and we moved to Stella, Nebraska, where he taught school. 1975. I have been a stay-at-home mom mostly. Presently I do part-time work as librarian at our small library. I belong to several organizations: Eastern Star, GFWC Research Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and now- The Red Hat Society. I have held, or presently hold, offices in all organizations. My husband and I enjoy going to movies, concerts, amateur theater, and going out to supper. We have two cats, a goldfish pond, and a big yard that I get to mow. Both children are married, with no grandchildren in the forseeable future. Guess that's it.
