Elizabeth's Story
Life
My family is the main focus of my life right now. I am married to Mark Morales (class of '95), and we have two babies together. Jacob (10/31/02), Tessie (1/23/04), and our dog, Abby, live with us in Japan (city of Nagoya)where we will be for the next two years. How did we end up here?
Strangely enough, Mark and I never met in high school. It was not until we were both attending different Indiana colleges (Butler and Rose-Hulman) that we found each other. Mark graduated from Rose in 1999, and began working at Delphi Automotive Systems in Kokomo, Indiana right away. We were married on Aug. 19, 2000, so almost five years ago as I write this bio. I graduated from Purdue North Central in 2001 with an Elementary Education degree, and I taught school in Kokomo for a little over a year before our first child was born. I have been staying at home with him and his baby sister who came along shortly...Expand for more
after, ever since then. I love raising my babies, and the teaching I do for them is what my life's goal is now. I will probably go back to work someday after they, and the other children I still hope to have, are all in school. Until then, I enjoy spending time with them and practicing my favorite hobby: cooking and baking!
Mark was offered an opportunity to work in Japan last August, and after only two days of deliberating, we decided to take it. We moved here in February, and are loving it so far. It is very different, and we really miss everyone from home, but we are having the experience of a lifetime. We will go home on vacation for the summers, as the summer where we live is miserable, even according to the Japanese. We will definitely be home for our 10 year reunion next July!
