Ellen's Story
It took me 6 years, and 3 different high schools, in 2 different States, to finally graduate high school. All I can say about my childhood and teen years, is that I wish the public, (read teachers), were aware of the signs of child abuse and incest back then. I know I hurt a lot of people because of the way I acted back then and if any of you read this I hope that if you can't forgive me, you will try to understand that I acted that way because of what my father did. I am deeply sorry and if I could change it I would. Regardless of that, I married my high school sweetheart a month after graduation and he gave me my 3 beautiful daughters. Sadly, our marriage ended after 20 years, but we have 2 wonderful grandchildren and David and I are friends now, and are in happy relationships with others. picked eggs and "candled" them, been a short order cook, been a "housekeeper/cook/babysitter" professionally and at home, been a chicken processor (gutting out fresh killed birds!) and worked my way up to Quality Control before the plant went under. I also ran my own cleaning service for about 12 years before I decided to go back to working for others. I can't remember the other places I have worked right off hand, but I'll add more another time.
I have lived on a small mountain in Maine now for 12 years with the wonderful man I have been engaged to for the past 16 years. We enjoy our peace and quiet and the wildlife we see on a nearly daily basis. We both love hunting and fishing (things my ex taught me years ago, thank you David), although it's not as easy as it was when I was in my 20's! And we love our visits with our kids and grandkids.
