Emily's Story

Life Hey, just thought I would say hi! I went to U of I, finished in 5 years with BS in Materials Engineering. I am married, to David Adamiec, met him at U of I, got married 7/98, moved to Hawaii with him (he's in the Marine Corps). WE had a baby on 7/19/00, his name is Nolan. We then moved to Florida for David to go to flight school. There we had Katerina 10/02! ANd in 03 we moved to Poway, CA. It's a "suburb" of San Diego. David's flying F-18's at Miramar, and i'm still not working. Being a stay-at-home is totally not what i thought i'd be doing, but when your husband is gone and your kids are little, its the best thing. And i even get to sleep in sometimes! go home for my 10yr reunion, and actually don't get back to chicago too much, but san diego is awesome, I love it here. moved again.. .since 1/08 living in 29 palms, ca, another marine corps base. The desert is very sparse, with very few things to do and over 100 from may - oct. I go back to san diego a bunch, but have been trying to stay here more and make friends for me and the kids. I'm sort of wanting to go back to work now, but who can beat naps and tennis with david at lunch! I'm a total sports mom, from baseball to swimming to cheerleading and soccer. ANd I LOVE NFL football, especially our fantasy football league. I've ran a marathon and hope to do it again some day.
