Eneldia Berlanga-Thames:  

I'm Eneldia Berlanga-Thames. I graduated from Waltrip High School in 1988. I then went on to Concordia Lutheran College in Austin, TX. I met Shawn Thames who graduated from Spring High School in 1985. He went on to Lee Junior College and played basketball and then went on to Concordia Lutheran College in Austin, TX. He wound up graduating from Concordia with his B. A. in Business Administration. I then continued at Sam Houston State in Huntsville, TX. There I earned my B. A. in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish, and endorsements in Bilingual Education and ESL. I taught in the Spring Independent School District for 6 years at Oak Creek Elementary which is now Pat Reynolds Elementary. In 1995, I foung out I became pregnant and gave birth to our one and only daughter who is now 12 years old. We married legally later on in August 1996. I continued my schooling and earned a Masters in Educational Admnistration. At this time we were living in Spring, in the Lexington Woods Subdivision where Shawn grew up. In the summer of 2003 we moved up here to Arkansas where Shawn's mom and dad's families live. I am currently teaching and going to school. I am attending the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. I am about to begin working on my dissertation and I will be earning my Ph. D. in Curriculum & Instruction. Shawn works on the family properties. They are vast and require A LOT of work! Our daughter is an outstanding student. She got her daddy's money and her daddy's good looks along with her mother's special features and both her parents' smarts!!! She's somethin' else!!!
