Life
Alumnae of UC-Riverside, UMASS-Amherst, Springfield College & Holyoke Community College Nursing Program ~UPDATE! Passed NCLEX! Officially Nurse Nette RN 👩🏾⚕🤭 Graduated nursing program in June! 🥳 Pinning was May 25th, plans for BSN in future....learning never ends for this future cardiac nurse! 🤗👩🏾⚕Currently a subacute nurse at a skilled nursing facility working with CHF & renal patients.
Former Research Analyst for Amherst-Pelham (MA)Regional High School for their Alcohol and Substance Abuse Project assessing the prevalence of drug use among youths.
Worked at Amherst Regional High School(MA)with special needs students grades 9-12(mainly emotionally/behavior challenged, and learning disabled.
Certified CT Teacher. Taught Health Education in Hartford Public Schools in CT.
Also have previously worked at a local shelter for battered women and children.
Went to Vegas in August 2004 and got married on the 23rd to a wonderful man. Hard to believe we've been together 25yrs and married 19 of those years! 🤯
Was one of those laid off teachers you have heard about🫤 But God is good! I used the time to strengthen my skills to home school consult as well as in the parochial/private school setting. I am being disheartened by what's going on in public education and its politics.

Worked w/local councils on aging & health centers in leading patient education chronic disease self management workshops.
My career has centered around public health and health education...It has a nice fit. You are never too old to continue learning and pursue what you love! ❤

I attended Compton Ave Elem. transferred to Arlington Heights Elem., graduated and attended Mt. Vernon JHS, graduated and attended Canoga Park HS. After graduation I was accepted to UOP, but was disenchanted and dropped out. After several years I returned to school life by enrolling into LACC, transferred to UC-Riverside, graduated, and attended graduate school at both UMASS-Amherst & Springfield College. UPDATE: Graduated from HCC's ADN(RN) nursing program!

Workplace
Lord knows I have had many jobs!! From working in a fast food joint, to a waitress, to a drycleaners, etc. etc. But now I have grounded myself into the fields of public health/health care and education 🤗
So what it took me this long to find my niche --all that matters now is that I am happy and being emotionally gratified by what I do--who else can say that about their job?🤷🏾♀
