Eric's Story
Life
As of December 2005, I am recently divorced. It's a tricky balance between working too much and not enjoying life enough as it is with the reverse. You'll never hear a man say on his death bed, "I wish I had worked more" but I guarantee many of them will say, "I wish I had enjoyed life more." I'm now reversing that trend of working too much and now I'm enjoying life more. I have 3 sons, Brandon, age 10, Anderson, age 8, and Carson, age 3. I also have a beautiful girl dog named Madison, a 4 yr old Dalmatian. I work for Gulfstream Aerospace Corp in Long Beach where I'm one of the two upfront sales design engineers. Our jets are the Rolls Royce/Ferrari's of the jet world. Our customers are A-list celebrities, leaders of nations, corporate CEO's and some of the world's wealthiest people. I work with the sales executives and clients on the upfront design of their custom aircraft. I personally meet with our customers and create on CAD their original custom jet interiors. I've convinced the customer program managers that on the most custom jets it is necessary for me to fly on the customer acceptance flight in order to verify and document the completed aircraft so that my upfront designs match the delivered aircraft. After 9/11 it's become very strict who gets onboard these jets so coming up with a legitimate reason gets me onboard for a nice flight in a brand new 45 million dollar private jet. Not a bad day considering I get paid to do it along with the free meals. The 1st week after high school I went to work for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. ...Expand for more
working in the aircraft factory as a Machinist/Tool & Die Maker and attended college at night. After 3 years I quit full time work at Lockheed to attend college full time which also gave me free time to surf, party and have many memorable times. I enjoyed a bachelor life until I was 31. I still surf at my 3 favorite surf spots; Trestles/San Onofre in San Clemente (15 minutes from my house), Rincon up by Santa Barbara, and the Ranch up at Point Conception. I also enjoy snowboarding in Mammoth and Utah and wakeboarding at Lake Mead. I own a house in of Mission Viejo that I live in with my 3 boys. We have a private lake in Mission Viejo that provides us homeowners and our friends with lots of activities like free rock concerts by great rock bands of the 60's, 70's & 80's. It's incredible to drive 5 minutes from my house with my children and friends, walk right into a private lakeside concert on a warm summer evening, sit down on a picnic bench only 30 feet away from Peter Frampton, David Crosby & Steven Stills, Berlin, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Pat Benetar, the Fix, Toto, America, Marshal Tucker, Guess Who, Men At Work, etc. as the balmy summer sun is setting and the acoustics off the water in this tiny valley are perfect. During those recent times and more to come I sit there in awe as these bands of our teenage years are playing in my neighborhood for my family, friends and neighbors. The music still sounds just as good if not better! I'd love to hear how everybody is doing. More Bio's please. Send me a message if you'd like. Take Care!
