Eric's Story
Life
I can't believe that nearly 25 years have gone by since high school graduation. In March of 1983 I left the comforts of home to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Dominican Republic. While there I became very proficient in the Spanish language. Upon returning, I began going to college (the lifetime plan) in San Diego while working a variety of jobs. I left San Diego in 1991 and finished my degree in teaching at Utah State Univ. I now live in Rancho Cucamonga, CA with my wife, Armida (married in 1994), and our four sons (Wendell, 12yrs., Joseph, 9yrs., Benjamin, 6 yrs., and Richard, 2 yrs.) igh School in Ontario. I am also director of Ballet Folklórico Tenochtitlán, a club on campus where we learn and perform folk dqances from a variety of Spanish-Speaking countries. We perform dances from many different parts of México, El Salvador and Tangos from Argentina. We also began performing El Flamenco from Spain in 2006. Not only do I oversee this group, I also perform with them. We perform in a variety of venues including school assemblies, church gatherings, foreign language conferences, and wherever else we can. My spare time is spent playing with my children and supporting them in their many extracurricular endeavors. I'm very happy with where my life has taken me.
