Eric's Story
Hey, Northview classmates!
I've had an incredibly fortunate life and can't complain. I've lived all over the US, in 🇨🇦 and the 🇬🇧 — now in Seattle running my own tech company called Transparent Path. We've designed advanced logistics tech (IoT, AI and cloud) to reduce waste in food and pharma supply chains — too many people are struggling with hunger for me to sit around and not do something while we also have epic levels of food waste.
You may remember my sister Alicia — she runs the gift barn at Robinette's 🍎 and is now a GRANDMA (!) with two sons and an adorable grand-daughter. My brother Brian is a corporate marketing exec for Ashley Home Furniture, married and lives in Florida with his wife Rachel and his daughter Alyse. He also has two great kids from his first marriage who are grown and live in Michigan.
I've got three kids from my first marriage, now all in their 30s and living awesome lives — my son manages a chain of restaurants, while oldest daughter is literally a rockstar (google Maura Weaver) and my youngest is a Brooklyn DJ (google DJ Caro). Mission accomplished — but I wish they lived closer — they inherited the Weaver wanderlust gene for sure. I never get to see them as much as I want to. No grandkids yet - so not ready fo...Expand for more
r that! My idiotic brain still thinks I'm, like, 25...
In 2001, I married a blonde, blue-eyed fixture in the Seattle fine art world — my wife, Jena. She was a big part of the Grunge era, and seems to have been friends with everyone from Cobain to Soundgarden. We live in the burbs and enjoy our lake house in the Olympic Mountains during the summer.
Travel is my main passion, but I'm still a musician. For awhile, in the 80s and 90s, I was a soundtrack composer, but these days, it's just my "therapy." I teach university classes each year, and do a lot of conference speaking. Love teaching and speaking.
Came to GR to see family and friends in February 2024 - it's always great to catch up with familiar faces. Really love seeing friends from the old stomping grounds. I really believe we were really lucky growing up where we did, when we did. Wouldn't trade it. Although I do miss many of the ones that have passed, especially my childhood North Oakview friends like Brian Ohrn, Scott Berry, Doug Melpolder, and others. Lots of our former teachers are gone as well.
LIFE IS SUPER SHORT, people! I rarely check my Classmates inbox, so don't just sit there like a bump on a log, scrolling your phone! Say hi already. Or find me on LinkedIn (user name Weave).
