Life

Workplace
To me, work is simply a way to afford living. I would stop it in an instant if I could get away with it.
Military

suppose it could have been worse, though. The Coast Guard is generally pretty slack, or at least it was back in the mid-1990s. Got to see the Caribbean for free (well, if you don't count the opportunity cost of joining the CG in the first place), made a couple of decent friends, and developed a love of being on the water. Still, I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone other than the hardest of the hard-core - it's still the military, and the military lifestyle can suck it hard.
