Erin's Story
I am married now almost 7 years to Mark. We have 4 kids. James is 7, Dylan is 4, Michael Connor is 3, and Elizabeth is 1 year. (Finally got my daughter!)
I went to MCC from 99-2001 and received an associates degree in Visual Communications with the primary focus on Photography. It started off as just taking the program, but I realized shortly after I started I loved photography. Then I graduated in August 2001 and my oldest son was born in September 2001. We bought a house the following year in Rochester. In Feb 2004 I had my second son, Dylan. I stayed home with him until he was almost 5 months old, when I began working for the University of Rochester at the hospital. I considered seeking a career in medicine but changed my mind. he final time in October 2006 and my daughter was born June of 2007. She was a preemie and almost died in birth. I had an emergncy c-section to deliver her. She wasn't breathing when she was born and had her cord wrapped around her neck and again around her ankles. She was born at 37 week, but weighed only 3 pounds and 10 ounces. She had to stay in the hospital for awhile. Quite scary the thought that I almost lost my daughter. Already lost one child, couldn't lose another. Luckily she is a fighter and did well. She is now 1 year old.
I am currently going to St. John Fisher College part time with a major in English Writing. Hopefully someday I will write something and be published. Thanks to my English professor for opening my mind to the world of words. Normally I am at home with my four kids, reading, writing/typing, photography, and doing homework in between.
