Ernie's Story
This life has been so wonderful! Did You know the Delgadillo's are second Generation La Puente/Hacienda Heights 'ians. right? Dad went to La Puente (Patrick Muach was his coach) We started to meet you guys when I was about 5! Cub scouts! Then Jr. All American Football, Little League at Manzanita, From Los Robles Elementry from K to 2 then Hillgrove 3rd to 6th, then through Jr. High at Orange Grove through LAHS! After a year in college, got bored and decided to see Europe for 3 years. Joined the ARMY 78-81 (what was I thinking!) chose Wiesbaden Germany (good choice). When I came back you guys were finishing the last year of school and then to your careers and getting married. Career wise: I worked at UPS in Management till 85, then Opened a Allstate Insurance agency in Walnut till 90, and started my Real Estate practice and that's where I am still! . I married Michele Holquin, Class of 80 in 84. Had three kids, we moved to Diamond Bar for the next 20. We now have 3 married kids, two with Children. 7 to be exact.
I truly loved all the schools I went too. I believe I started to be more social than ever after Sophomore year, I was pretty shy, if you didn't know, Had more confidence to say hi to everyone (probably because of the pretty girls that used to hold my hand and build me up or the sports coaches that kick my ass) pick one,, and that's when I decide to always be friendly and open to your kindness and generosity. By Senior year I ran for a successful class president role after losing the year before. I was busy every year with sports, Football, track and I let the baseball and wrestling alone as a junior, it hurt too much! lol.. I loved all the girls in my school and truly admire the uniqueness of all my friends I played sports with since we were teenie wiennies. Loved winning championships from our first community tea...Expand for more
ms to LAHS '76 CIF at Angel stadium. Loved the dances and I wasn't much as a fast dancer but I did love to dance slow and easy.. I wonder why? Do you know I have been in contact with some of the people I went to Los Robles Kindergarden with? Amazing. You may know my Twin Brothers, Richard and Robert, class of 78, Then you may know my younger brother Patrick '84. We are all so very close. So we go a long way and deep into the city's history. (even before it became a city). My dad knows your dad if they have lived in the community forever. Of course, mom and dad were part of the leadership of all our sports programs and then part the letterman's club in high school. Mom, btw, is from Mark Keppel in San Gabriel.. My wife's family is from Baldwin park, her grandmother, was born there. We are very much the fabric of the San Gabriels for Generations!

Except one, It was, are you Ernie, The class president, and you dated... and then you played.... this person knew too much... I then asked who it was that knows so much of my history... Yup a classmate of 77. We have been friends ever since. I believe i was 28 when I got this call. Just last summer, I got a call saying, you were a senior I was a freshman, but..... and now we became FB friends. I had coffee last year with a classmate from Kindergarden! It's just crazy isn't it?
Now personally, I am becoming more spiritual, guess trying to stay in God Light so when I stand alone at the gates.. he is going to say you have been a bad boy but I forgive you!
Talk to me, call me, let me know who you are, who you hung with (that works) even if you were from a different school or class. If you walked in the San Gabriel Valley, we know the same people!
