I left Harlingen about one year after high school finished. I was married, had 3 children. I have worked for JCPenney for the last 30 yrs. I am hoping to retire in 7 more yrs. (~_~) Seems like a long time for me. Then I hope to be able to enjoy my life since I have not been able to do much traveling or exploring. I would also like to meet new friends here on classmates or on f/b. I am listed as Esther Flores my last name in school was Villarreal. I let my son put my name in and he only knows me as Flores. So if you have a year book that is where you can find me. A small update on my story about my job I will not be waiting to be 65 to retire. I am still with JCP but I have been offered an early retirement package and I am seriously going to take it. Will let you know as to what happens after that and where I end up at. Update have 7 months to work so that means that I should be out by March 31th, 2012. I know God has BLESSED me, he has put good things and bad but he has also lead me by his hand to see the changelles in life so that I can servive . Update now I will be leaving on March 3rd, 2012. Have to work Holidays, so glad it's almost over. 4MONTHS Time is getting closer and I am getting excited but at the same time scared. I have 8 weeks and 4 days just writing this down my heart seems to be racing. This is my update I have 3 weeks a total of less then 15 days, wow I am getting exciting it is also amazing because, how I am going to pay for my bills is not even in my mind and normally I would be so stressed. I do know that I have a lot to do and God is helping me. A while back I thought there was a special person, I was moving but things didn't work out. But going though everything I have accomplished since being divorced, I don't think I would be able to leave my home that I have worked so hard to have, as well as I have alot of friends that I am going to miss seeing at work. This is all for today. Today is 2/16/12 I have been home for about an hour it is now 11p.m. I am starting to get a little tired it has been a long day at work, I will have to be back at 8;30am, but the reason I am writing is because my day is almost here for my retirement. My last day to work will be March 1st, on the 2nd it's party time. I am happy but very scared, my son will also be moving and he has been helping me ever since I got divorced. One thing I will be doing is taking care of my mom she will be 92 yrs old. After a few months I will be able to see if I can make it financially, or do I look for a part-time job. So I don't think I will be able to travel yet. :( Update: March 2, 2012 I am retired. I think I will also be doing my own honey do's, painting, putting new curtains, new tile, making a new look in the yard, etc. lots to do. All I want to say is Thank You Lord for the strength you have given me to keep going, and the changelle's that were given to me earlier in life. Today is April 2 , 2012 one month later in my retirement I am doing very well, I do want to say that people come into our life's for a reason, and for that reason I have blocked my feelings, being scared of being hurt. I have enjoyed the company of someone, we have done a little going out not far, but so relaxing that I can be myself without being in a relationship. He is so polite, you can not find someone now a days to open the car door, it just makes you feel so special, I would just have to learn to quit doing things for myself. Being pampered is just a wonderful feeling. I think time will tell if I start to show exactly what my feels are. Today is May 28, 2012 I have had a wonderful weekend went to San Antonio with my very special friend, I think that he knows my feelings now. Being retired has allowed us to be together. Today is June 29th it has been wonderful so far being retired, I spent the day with my son we went out for lunch and just relaxed and enjoyed our conversation. But you know those little thing creep up on you and there you go thinking (you got to get your self back to work.) One good thing is that my mother will be 92yrs young and is doing so good. I am still trying hard to get my house in order, I haven't taken alot of pictures but if you have f/b I do have some posted there, I do have to get them organized but I am not that good with this computer the last time I did it I erased all of them and that sure upset me. :( Just want to say THANK YOU LORD FOR HELPING ME THROUGH EACH DAY..... Hello, everyone it is July 16, 2012, five months since I have retired I am seeing time pass by me, my baby son turned 28, my grandson has graduated, and granddaughter is a mother of 2, my mother has turned 92 yrs old. Wow I can only image n being that age. You know I have met a lot of wonderful people here and in f/b. Some day I hope that I will be able to meet some in person. I want so much to be able to go places see things, not that I haven't done a few , but nothing that has stood out and that is what I want to do. So for now I want to THANK THE GOOD LORD FOR GUIDING ME ON THE RIGHT ROAD.....Continuing today I have made a BIG DECISION I am scared but in the long run I think it was the right one.
