Eugene's Story
Well folks!!! It's really great to reconnect to some of the people who make me who I am. I'm overwhelmed to see pictures and read the names of all of you. Whether from Art & Design (remember Mr. Graves?) or from Stevenson H.S. (remember Ms. Lowe and her dog?), each holds fond memories.
After completed Stevenson H.S. I left that summer to attend Wiley College in Texas (recently hailed in Denzel Washington's movie The Debaters); came back to NY and attended LaGuardia CC, CCNY, Columbia University; then Boston University, College of the Holy Cross, Bluefield State College, Marshall University, University of Phoenix, and Capella University.., whew!!! All while spending 10 years in the U.S. Navy as both enlisted and commissioned.
I married early and have three awesome kids (eldest boy attends the University of A...Expand for more
labama, youngest son attends Delaware State University, and youngest daugher will attend FAMU in August 2008!) I've been divorced for quite a few years, to say the least (can't find that right one) and raised my kids alone for a lot of those years.
Today I reside in Atlanta, Georgia, where I work for a local college (taught English for several years at the collegiate level) and I will complete my doctorate in post-secondary and adult education in 2010. To add to the mayhem I am concurrently completing a Graduate Certification Program in Health Care Management. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, or I just love education! I truly enjoy teaching adult learners. I also spent 20 years pastoring churches from New England to Texas!
You are more than welcomed to get at me sometime! I'd love to hear from you all.
