October 2009 I'm on Facebook now so I really don't look at this site any more. However, I will say that CHS '79 had a fabulous reunion the weekend of Oct 2nd. It was SO good to see so many friends -- most of which I hadn't seen since we graduated. Everyone was great. February 2008 Hi everybody! Here's my basic, no frills biography: Graduated from Univ. of VA in '84 with a degree in education. Met my husband, Mike, at UVA and married him in 1984. Have two children, Michael Dallas (in 1993) and Marianne Sophia (1999) and now live in the DC suburbs. I am a wife and mom and do a bunch of stuff, but I don't have a career right now. We are doing really well. A few frills: Worked as a teacher, photographer's asst, writer and best of all, an actress for 6 years before we were blessed by adoption with our children. We have been back in the DC area (Gaithersburg/Laytonsville) since 2000 after living in Dayton(Kettering/Centerville), Ohio (10 years), St Louis (Wildwood/Grover), MO(16 months) and Nashville (Franklin), Tennessee (3 1/2 years). My husband works in the software industry. We love Ohio and return every summer to visit very close friends. I think of Dayton as being like a best kept secret -- there is lots going on there, particularly in the Arts, but most people don't know that... Mike did not like St. Louis, but I thought it was great. There is a lot to see and do there and it's all easily accessable. We really liked TN, too, but unless you like country music there is not much to do there. Opryland (the amusement park) was torn down and replaced by Opry Mills, a huge mall when we were there, so that took away the one fun thing for kids and adults. We did enjoy spotting celebrities.
