Evelyn's Story
Life has been a joy. Married to John for 46 years, five children,9 grandchildren. Spent about 10 years in the insurance industry before I realized that's not what I liked doing. Then started my own wallpaper installation business, but kept it small with only a few employees. Besides, I liked doing the work myself. I worked in homes from mobile to multi-millions. Always enjoyed meeting such a variety of people. Like politics, the job gave me so much material, I could have written many openings for Jay Leno.
I'm now semi-retired. We love to travel and have been to 46 states plus Ireland and England. We just have to visit Oklahoma, , Mississippi, Lousianna and Alabama.

This year, I started the research for John's family. I've spent countless hours in archives, museums, court houses and historical societies. I took a class back in the beginning and have learned most of the research techniques on my own. I'm actually considering starting a business doing research for others. It's a truly fascinating work. I have traced a branch of my family and one in John's line back to the mid 1600's in THIS country. Watching the John Adams mini series on T.V. is amazing because we actually had family in Boston and Pennsylvania during those times.
I love keeping in touch with past classmates and hearing what others have been doing. There have been some sad deaths and illnesses, but mostly happy stories.
