Fawn's Story
Life
I left Pittsburgh in 1993 in the pursuit of happiness in Atlanta, Georgia. Needless to say, I found my (now) ex-husband and a life I don't think I would have been able to have in the 'Burgh.
I've been blessed with 5 beautiful, intelligent children. 2 boys and 3 girls, ranging from ages 14 to 7.
I have a very successful career. Have been promoted from an administrative assistant to the director of Information Services and Technology for AGL Resources, owner of several natural gas companies to a Telecommunications Coordinator. It's great.
I'm ending my year as president of our company's corporate chapter of IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals). This is something that I am very proud of. I also have started an entertainment business.
2 years ago you couldn't have told me that I would be doing all of the things that I'm doing professionally. It's hectic, but it is worth every minute!
Needless to say, I'm proud of my accomplishments and there is more to come. I am ambitious by nature. positive by faith and will get everything that I want out of life. Can I...Expand for more
do it? Damn right, I can!
I came to visit Pittsburgh, last November, and I hate to see that it is still the same. Home will always be home, but we really need to clean it up and make it a place that people (old and new) would like to stay.
Shouts to: Shyreeta Poindexter, Shawnee Young. StayC' Speed, Sharita Mason, Chelsya Gibson, Chris Beasley (call me!), Shermeeka (sorry I can't remember your last name, as usual) and anyone else I used to hang with at the HOUSE.
Much love always and I do miss you all!!
School
My inspiration, without a doubt, was Eunice Anderson my business and finance teacher at Westinghouse. Ms. Anderson, I know you don't work at Westinghouse anymore...but if you ever read this, I just want to thank you for giving my beginnings in my career path.
Workplace
I went from grits to gravy...
I pretty much stayed in the field of business. I've been a receptionist, a data entry clerk, a customer service representative, a GL worker, an AP worker, upper management admin. Now I'm a Telecom Coordinator with my own admin. Imagine that LOL!
Life's good. What more can I say?
